After a string of tech-related prompts, it’s about time I gave you something offline!
Another one-word week:
house
That’s it.
What would you do with this word in your classroom? You can make any assumptions you like about the context it is used in. Post your ideas in the comments below. All ideas are welcome (there are no wrong answers!)

Comments on: "House" (1)
A couple of ideas, some obvious others hopefully less so
Working of vocab: furniture in a house. Where is the furniture in your house?
Home-less: Looking at homelessness in different countries, the causes. What governments/ charities do about it. What the average citizen does. Moving on comparing homelessness with refugees. Do people view refugees and homeless people differently? Why?
The difference between house and home: Perhaps using that old Homebase (or B&Q I forget which) Ad that ends “making a house a home” and comparing what is different between the words house and home. Is home just a place or more than that? Discussion questions like: Where is your home? Is it the same as your house/apartment?
I know NEF using houses to talk about imaginary situations and your dream house. So that’s another possible grammar focus.
