Dear Photograph

Described in a quote as “digital nostalgia of the highest order”, Dear Photograph asks users to submit photographs of them holding old photos in front of the same place now. Here’s one example:

  1. I think this site is a great way to practise “used to”, comparatives (then and now) or (past) modals of speculation. Students can look for a photo they think looks interesting, then describe it or expand on the situation in the accompanying text using any of the grammar points above.
